A wonderful day class!

So how are you doing?

Oh, it’s nice to hear that class. By the way may I know who have difficulties in pronouncing the P, B, F and V sounds?

(Students’ Activity)

Good day ma’am!

We’re fine ma’am

No one ma’am

That’s great class, so I think you’ll definitely enjoy the activities I’ve prepared for you

Before we proceed, I’ll divide you in three groups. This activity is entitled “Pronounce and Spell me correctly”

Class listen carefully in this activity you’re speaking and listening activity will be put to test.

Choose who among your group mates who is to pronounce the word and the other will listen and write it on the given paper.

* You shall seat opposing each other, alright class?

(Class proceeds to the activity)

Now class its high time to check on your work.

(the teacher checks on their works)

Class, who won?

That’s pretty good class- did you enjoy?

Class I believe some of you found difficulties in the activity, would you mind sharing it to the class.

What’s that ma’am?

Yes ma’am

Ma’am no one, we have an equal scores.

Yes ma’am

Ma’am….

Yes kaz?

Do you agree class?

So you do believe that the proper pronunciations of words matters most?
That it affects the listen and how will she be able to spell it correctly?

Very good class, kaz thank you that’s a good answer.

Any other before we proceed. How about for those who serves as the speaker.

Yes cherry?

Yes very good cherry. Is there anything you would like to add?

Alright Felsie, what is it?

You really observed how the words are pronounced.

What about for those who delivered the words? First in line is Joey, what can you say Joey?

I found out ma’am that recognizing the word would be difficult if the speaker is not properly equipped with the necessary knowledge of the proper pronunciations.

Yes ma’am

Yes ma’am

Ma’am

Ma’am I knew that pronouncing the P and F are voiceless because the vocal do not vibrate.

Yes ma’am.

Ma’am when we pronounce the B and the V sounds. We produce vibrations so that is what we call voiced.

So meaning in pronouncing the P and the B is within the lips while the F and the V sounds are within the lower lip pressed against the upper teeth.

Could you please do it class.

Very good Joey. Anything else you would like to add?

Yes maricel.

Could you please demonstrate it to your classmates?

Another thing you want to add class?

Yes Dome?

Very good Dome- such a long complete answer.

Ma’am I pronounced the P and F with my lips. While F and V are made with the lower lip placed firmly and pressed against the upper teeth.

(the students obey the teacher)

Ma’am

Ma’am pronouncing the P and B are characterized by a poison of air with both lips firmly compressed together.

(Maricel demonstrates)

Ma’am F and V are characterized by a friction, noise created as the air being obstructed by the lower lip pressed against the upper teeth, forcibly passes through the obstruction.

B.

For the next activity, I would want you class to read the following selection. (teacher gives the copies) aloud and pay careful to the sounds of P, B, V and F.

Each of you has a task to make

Kaz will do the P sound
Cherry for the F sound
Maricel for the V sound
Felsie for the B sound

For the dialogue practice, I want you all to work for this activity.

Dome as Felipe
Joey as Pete
Kaz as Mr. Paterno
Felsie as Brenda
Maricel Belinda

Would that be alright class?

(the students perform the activities)

Alright class did you enjoy?
